It has been an great week for us, met new friends, had great food, great laughs and most of all won BIS :)...... The sibes had a great weekend , while
Claris in her best color and shape took
2 Group 1st and
2 Best Intermediate in Shows ....what was disappointing was the shelties.
Conrad won nothing and
Crocket took only a
Group 3rd.
The 1st show of the day 173 Skc Show under Judge Mr. Mel H Bungey (Australia) saw us win the Best in Show with Stormy .
While our Home-bred Rocky finished as Group 2nd behind Stormy and a Res. Best Singapore Bred in Show. Rocky finished his Champion title in style.
In the terrier group Claris walked off with only a Res. Best in Group.
Crocket took a Group 3rd under Mr Bungey which I thought was great for his totally an American type which I thought wouldn't be favoured under an Aussie Judge..
The 174 Skc Show under Judge Mr. Mario Magsaysay ( Phillipines) saw Stormy claiming his Group 1st.
Rocky again took another Res. Best Singapore Bred in Show, while our New girl Eva took a Res. Best Yearling in Show and a Group 2nd.
Hero in first first show took Res.Best Puppy in Show too.
Terrier group saw Claris win her Group 1st and a Best Intermediate in Show.
The last show 175 Skc Show of the day under Mr. Theo Horchner (Australia) finished off with Stormy winning a RUBIS.
Rocky again for the 3rd time in the day finished as Res.Best Singapore Bred in Show.
Claris took another Group 1st and a Best Intermediate in Show.
All in all we were pleased with the results and some new dogs in how they performed. Hero was stacking great and movement beautifully , but was alittle banana coming out of quarantine lol... Haya wasn't shown this time but will grace in the next round.
Claris is maturing nicely and is so typey. Her color has beautifully changed and will be even better next year. So looking forward to her winning bigger things ....Just need a BIS to get her Grand Champion ....
Maybe a slight disappointment in the shelties ..but the winner was a nice moving dog so glad to see competition in the shelties which sometimes we win ...and sometimes we lose ...importantly everyone wins something ...hehehehe so that no one stop showing dogs ...Its more fun this way ...of course Conrad wasn't in coat but thats no excuse and Crocket to me is beautiful ...love his type and results would maybe be different if we had American Judges but then whos to say ...you never know.
We have learned that dog shows are just time for us to show what we think might be best during the day. But peoples or Judges have different opinions and who is to say they are right or wrong ? End of the day we just go through the motion and pray for his grace ...
We have learned to take things lightly and life is more to dog shows and of course winning is great and who doesn't want to win :) however winning 1 is better than none and funny thing is winning doesn't make the dog a better dog. Just maybe adds more ego into the owner ...hahaha
Anyway in conclusion we will like to give thanks to Jesus our Lord who has given us this day and to rejoice in it. Our friends Raymond and Seah who came all the way from Malaysia to give us support. Andy and Michael for all they assistance and help. Roberto for his great Video Graphing :) using the professional HD videocam hahaha looks like a hollywood production...
Saipin and Dr Boy for grooming Claris to perfection and handling of Claris...
Of course last but not least Monique for great work with the sibes and winning the BIS with Stormy :) SSFL ...hehehe
Even our domestic helpers did a wonderful job in bathing and blowing the sibes and all the logistics...without them we can't imagine what we can accomplished. Thanks to Jesus for giving us great help ....
Till the next dog show we shall enjoy our lovely sibes, kerry and shelties as pets and looking forward to our sheltie Hush puppies mated with Crocket...
